Jerson Kelman

Jerson Kelman is the founder of the Brazilian Association of Water Resources, which was founded in 1977.
He served as President & Director from 1977 to 1988.
Dr. Kelman currently holds several director positions, including at Iguá Saneamento SA, Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico,.

He is also a Member-Curator Council at the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development and a Member-Energy Council at the Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro.
Dr. Kelman has held former positions as Chief Executive Officer of Light SA from 2011 to 2012, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Companhia de Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo SABESP from 2015 to 2018, and President & Chief Executive Officer of the National Water Agency from 2001 to 2004.
He has also served as Chairman of Arnold Light Consults, Inc. from 2010 to 2012 and as Director General of the Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Brazil) from 2005 to 2008.
Dr. Kelman's education includes a doctorate degree from Colorado State University in 1976, a graduate degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and an undergraduate degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
He is also a Professor at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute.
