The Junior League of Austin is a nonprofit volunteer organization of over 2,000 women dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and making a meaningful community impact in Central Texas through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Fundraising events such as Austin Entertains and A Christmas Affair® generate support for charitable programs, with Austin Entertains empowering female entrepreneurs in the culinary and beverage industries and funding the FIT program to combat food insecurity among economically disadvantaged students. The non-profit company is based in Austin, TX. The organization supports more than 20 local nonprofit agencies and runs signature programs addressing critical community needs, including Coats for Kids, Food In Tummies (FIT), Kids In Cool Shoes (KICS), and a language learning program to enhance members’ ability to serve diverse populations. Members contribute over 160,000 volunteer hours annually, engaging in initiatives focused on education, health and well-being, safety, the arts, and the environment. The organization emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming women from varied backgrounds who seek leadership development and community involvement. The league operates the Community Impact Center, a versatile event venue whose rental proceeds fund charitable programs.
