BIF also believes that an emphasis on total return provides the best investment strategy for most clients. In the process of creating and managing diversified portfolios, the firm uses proprietary research and individual securities in the following asset classes: U.S. large-cap stocks, REITs, bonds and other fixed-income. They typically use mutual funds for allocations to U.S. small cap stocks and international stocks.

Bullseye follows a fundamental research-driven, bottom-up stock selection process on both the long and short side whereby investment decisions are based upon extensive analysis of the business and financial fundamentals concerning particular companies and their industries. They attempt to assess a company’s intrinsic value and seek to capitalize on significant differences between this and the current market price of a security. The firm offers both long only strategies as well as long/short strategies. They invest primarily in small and mid-cap equities.
