Dr. Indraneel Karlekar is a Managing Director, Global Head of Research & Strategy at Clarion Partners LLC.
He is a member of Clarion’s Executive Board and Investment Committee.
He leads the research group in supporting the development of Firm-wide and business unit-specific investment strategy and advising on portfolio strategy through proprietary analytics, data science and econometric forecasting.
Additionally, he is responsible for macroeconomic analysis, market forecasting, and research support for capital raising and client services.
He joined the firm in 2024 and has been working in the industry since 1999.
Dr. Karlekar was previously employed as a Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Research & Strategy by Principal Real Estate Investors LLC, a Senior Vice President by ING Clarion Real Estate Securities LLC, a Principal by Cole Real Estate Investments, Inc. and by Corebridge Real Estate Investors, Inc., a Vice President by Corebridge Institutional Investments (US) LLC, and a Senior Analyst by Economist Intelligence Unit Ltd. He received his B.A. in History from St. Stephens College, an MBA from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a PhD in Economic Geography from the University of Cambridge.
