Ian Myers

Over the course of his career, Ian has been an investor, operator, and executive.
Most recently, he was Head of New Products for Uzabase, a global business intelligence corporation.
Prior to that, he was General Manager of Platform at Quartz, overseeing all product, marketing, and development of their platform products.
Ian joined Quartz after their acquisition of NewsPicks USA, a media technology company where he served as CEO.
Prior to becoming CEO of NewsPicks, Ian was a venture investor with White Star Capital, where he focused on sourcing early stage technology investments, fundraising, and diligence.
He also opened their first Asian office in Tokyo.
Ian graduated with an MA from Stanford University, where he focused on International Business and Policy, and holds a BA from Bard College in Literary Studies.
He doesn’t, however, hold a high school degree as he dropped out when he was 16.
Born in Vermont, he’s lived on both coasts of the US, in Asia, and now calls New York home.
