Anderson is the founder of Society for Risk Analysis.
She is currently the Director at Toxicology Education Foundation since 2005 and a Member of the Engineering Foundation Board at the University of Virginia since 2005.
Additionally, she is a Member of the New York Academy of Sciences, American College of Toxicology, and Society of Toxicology.
In her former positions, Anderson served as the President & Chief Executive Officer at Sciences International, Inc. She was also a Director at Cardinal Bank from 2003 to 2003.
Furthermore, she held the position of Group Vice President-Health Sciences at Exponent, Inc. from 2012 to 2015.
Anderson was a Member of the External Evaluation Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2004 and a Member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Regarding her education, Anderson obtained a graduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1964.
She earned a doctorate degree from American University in 1970 and an undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary in 1962.
