Cordova Smart & Williams (CSW) specializes in buyouts, recapitalizations and growth capital financings. They provide capital and resources for closely-held, middle-market US companies. CSW seeks to invest in fundamentally sound, middle-market companies with revenues of $25 million to $350 million, as well as corporate orphans that are no longer a strategic fit with their parent organizations. The firm assesses investment opportunities through a three-stage process that starts with an industry review and follows up with an operational assessment of the company. If a transaction offers all partners the opportunity for success, they then perform extensive financial due diligence. Investments range from $10 million and $20 million, but CSW is positioned to make larger or smaller investments. The firm focuses several industries including consumer/retail (manufacturing and distribution) and general industrial (manufacturing and services). Additional areas of interest within these sectors include food and beverage manufacturing, distribution and logistics, branded and private label consumer packaged goods, consumer durables, packaging and specialty retailing. They do not generally participate in start-ups, technology companies or real estate investments. Potential portfolio companies should have: (1) an exceptional management team (2) positive cash flow (3) a dominant market position within a growing industry or sector (4) a product portfolio with strong brand equity or other platforms for growth (5) a product line with a defensible niche and/or high barriers to entry (6) opportunities for significant operational enhancements and (7) industry consolidation or complementary acquisition opportunities. CSW participates in a variety of transactions including families seeking liquidity, shareholders looking to recapitalize, companies seeking growth through acquisitions, companies seeking new market expansion such as geographic, customer or product expansions.

The Beekman Group invests in lower middle market companies located in the United States with revenues of USD 10 - 300 million. The firm focuses on business, consumer, financial, healthcare and industrial services. It participates in equity financing for growth, management buyouts, recapitalizations, corporate spin-offs, consolidations, distressed and special situation opportunities with an investment size of USD 20 - 300 million. The firm acquires minority interest and makes co-investments. It acts as a lead investor.
