Edward Kelly Acosta

Mr. Acosta joined the Company in July 2004.
From June 1996 until joining Charys, he founded two technology companies and a successful real estate investment venture.
As President and CEO of the two start-ups, Mr. Acosta raised almost $20 million in institutional venture capital to create wireless video and wireless data optimization technology companies.
Prior to that, Mr. Acosta worked for Schlumberger Limited in corporate new business development where he helped Schlumberger evaluate new business opportunities and is credited with the product concept for the highly successful CyberFlex line of smartcard readers.
Earlier, Mr. Acosta was a technical staff member at MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory.
Mr. Acosta holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, a MSEE degree (Internet communications and digital video systems) from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an undergraduate degree in computer science and mathematics from Boston College.
He holds several patents related to wireless communications, wireless imaging and wireless video monitoring as well as having been published in several technical journals.
