Apax Partners Israel Ltd. (AP-IL) is the Israeli private equity subsidiary of London-based Apax Partners Holdings Ltd., ultimately held by Apax Partners LLP in Great Britain. Established in 1994, the firm is located in Tel Aviv and raises funds through investors such as financial institutions, foundations and endowments, banks and insurance companies in addition to pension funds. AP-IL's management typically invests a significant proportion of their own capital in the firms' investments. In 2005, the Apax Foundation was established for the group's charitable donations. The foundation supports entrepreneurial endeavors, social investment and educational initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty worldwide.
