D. Joseph Betz

Prior to joining American Capital in August 2007, Mr. Betz was buy-side equity analyst at Legg Mason Investment Counsel and focused exclusively on equity selection within the financial services sector.
In addition, prior to Legg Mason, he spent nearly a decade in the sell-side equity research departments of both Wachovia Capital Markets in Baltimore, MD and A.G.
Edwards & Sons in St. Louis, MO.
He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001 and holds a B.S.
in Business Administration and Finance from Truman State University in Missouri.
