Railpen invests the schemes’ assets to generate strong investment returns over the long-term to pay members’ pensions securely, affordably and sustainably. The firm employs a multi-asset approach and utilizes the long-term nature of the Scheme to embrace risk in order to generate returns. The Scheme is governed by the Railpen Investments Board (RIB), which provides an oversight function in the management of the Railpen Pooled Funds. RIB reports directly to the Trustee, and it has a Non-Executive Chair, an Executive Director, two Trustee Directors and three Non-Executive members.
