Mr. Brian Charles, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director at R.
W.
Pressprich & Co. He joined R.W.
Pressprich in December 2008.
Initially he focused on distressed banks during the financial crisis, though he since has expanded his coverage across multiple industries, including aviation leasing, telecommunications, metals & mining, chemicals, healthcare, and others in addition to the financial services sector.
From 2004 to 2006 he was at Friedman Billings Ramsey & Co., Inc. in Arlington, VA covering high-yield specialty finance companies and banks as well as special situations in other industries.
From 1997 to 2004 he was with Banc One Capital Markets in Chicago covering investment grade specialty finance, banks, and REITs.
From 2006 to 2008 he was a Senior Analyst/Portfolio Manager at ASB Capital in Bethesda, MD.
Mr. Charles received his BA from Colorado College and his MBA from Georgetown University.
He is a CFA charterholder.
