Mr. Baldwin joined Freeport from GE Capital where he was a Senior Vice President in the Global Sponsor Finance group responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing senior debt financings for private equity firms.
Prior to GE's acquisition of Heller Financial, Mr. Baldwin was in Heller Financial's Corporate Finance group.
While at Heller, he was responsible for structuring, underwriting, selling and managing senior and subordinated financings and equity co-investments for middle market focused private equity firms.
Before joining Heller, Mr. Baldwin was with PPM America as an Investment Associate and prior to PPM America an auditor with Grant Thornton, LLP.
Mr. Baldwin has a BS in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
