In addition to his role with Relativity, Dr. Atefi is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alion Science & Technology Corp.
He was appointed as President of IIT Research Institute (IITRI) in 1997.
Prior to joining IITRI, he was Senior Vice President of SAIC.
He began his career as a Nuclear Engineer at the Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).
Dr. Atefi received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master's degree and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
