U.S. Bank is sponsoring five events at the 106th annual National Western Stock Show (NWSS) this month, including the International Livestock Congress and the U.S. Bank Pro Rodeo Finals. U.S. Bank is also the presenting sponsor of the PRCA Steer Wrestling event and the Boots 'n Business luncheon, and is a table sponsor of Citizens of the West.
The NWSS takes place through January 22 in Denver. U.S. Bank has supported the National Western Stock Show since 1995, and this is the first year as the main sponsor of the Pro Rodeo Finals.
U.S. Bank Food Industries is a major supporter of the event. Led by Elizabeth Hund, senior vice president and division head, U.S. Bank Food Industries sponsors the International Livestock Congress, which is held in conjunction with the NWSS. Hund is also the ambassador of the NWSS International Agri-Business Center and is a committee member of the NWSS International Committee. The International Agri-Business Center hosts visitors from 35 countries, and encourages networking for overseas business around livestock by providing a social and educational environment for trade development.
"As a leader in food industries for over 150 years, we are proud to sponsor the International Livestock Congress," said Hund. "It's a great opportunity for attendees to learn the current challenges facing the beef industry. It also allows U.S. Bank to support the organization while networking with partners who are in need of financial products for the production, processing and distribution of food and agriculture products."
U.S. Bank Colorado market president, Hassan Salem, welcomed 950 NWSS participants at the Boots 'n Business luncheon on January 6. Salem is also chairman of the board for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
