Telmex announced the release of its Private Enterprise Virtual Data Center service, as part of the Infrastructure as a Service product family in its Cloud Services portfolio. Through the Private Enterprise Virtual Data Center, their clients will have access to a whole network, security and computing resources infrastructure that can be used as an extension of their current Data Center, as a new Data Center connected to their private network, or as a backup of their operations. The Telmex portfolio has four families of Cloud services: Collaboration, Web Presence, Security, and Infrastructure, all of them under a model of security and information availability for any-size customers and in any market.

As a result, Telmex and Cisco have been working together to strengthen a services portfolio with: Business WEB conference: This is based on the Cisco WebEx® solution, which allows users to have virtual, interactive meetings anywhere and from any device. Virtual Servers: Telmex offers flexible and scalable computing capacity, multiple options for operating systems, applications, backup, security and support 24 hours, seven days a week. Virtual Data Center: This is a service developed for corporate IT environments in which customers can manage their own Virtual Data Center resources through a self-provisioning and self-management portal, one of the most complete solutions available in the market supported by Cisco Unified Computing System, Cisco Nexus® and Cisco® ASA solution.

The security component and information availability of the Telmex Cloud services are one of the nodal points of the operation, as Telmex pays particular attention to infrastructure investment, security equipment, and software and process implementation, with certified and experienced staff trained at the Instituto Tecnológico Telmex en Tecnologías de la Información with Cisco support.
