At the New Year's morning assembly held on January 5 (Thu.), 2012, Minoru Sano, president of
Nipro Corporation, delivered his new years' message for 2012, summarized below:

Achieving to be the World's Leading Company

Nipro Corporation will also stick to the subject of further expansion business operations this year, with our Long-Term Business Target set at realizing sales of 1 trillion yen in fiscal 2030.
This year, in addition to our businesses of Medical Equipment and Glass&Materials, in particular we will promote to strengthen our business of Pharmaceuticals. Unless in advance they would obtain some applicable approval of regulatory authorities, they could neither manufacture, sale nor supply their products in their domestic market, even though they have obtained applicable one in the other countries. Therefore, they say that the business field of Pharmaceuticals is very specific. In addition, so that it usually costs enormous initial investment for each product to research, develop and launch, they say that it is difficult except for well-financed companies to diversify their business in the world. I'm sure it's one of the most important management issue to be successful in such business area on the achievement of our Long-Term Business Target.
We intend to place in the foundation of management our own performance-based sliding wage scale system and global business expansion in consciousness of the world. Furthermore we would work hard and strive to achieve above-mentioned target.
