Fu Ta Material Technology Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 34.590 million compared to TWD 43.352 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 9.949 million compared to TWD 13.340 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 14.720 million compared to TWD 21.336 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.32 compared to TWD 0.38 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.32 compared to TWD 0.47 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 70.429 million compared to TWD 92.159 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 17.006 million compared to TWD 23.616 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 17.896 million compared to net income of TWD 361.689 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.39 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 8.06 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.39 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 7.86 a year ago.
Fu Ta Material Technology Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and distribution of nylon yarns. The Company operates its businesses through three segments. The Spun Yarn segment is engaged in the production and sales of cotton yarns, artificial cotton yarns, blended yarns and synthetic fiber yarns. The Grey Cloth segment is engaged in the production, processing and trading of cotton fabrics, artificial silk fabrics, blended grey cloth and artificial grey cloth. The Electronic Material segment is engaged in the recycling of solar energy materials, such as silicon wafers and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
