A Boeing 737 MAX operated by China Southern Airlines took off on Friday from Guangzhou bound for Zhengzhou, marking the first flight of this aircraft model in China since March 2019.

This is major news for the American aircraft manufacturer, which is attempting to revive its activities in the sector's second-largest global market, after the 737 MAX had been grounded in China and around the world following two fatal accidents involving this model.
