Johnson will spearhead growth and development of IGN as the brand continues its category leadership with the millions of active alpha influencers that make IGN a leading destination for Fan culture, content and commerce. He will also take advantage of real momentum in the category driven by: the new console cycle, user demand of editorial coverage in games/film/TV, original over-the-top video content and rapid growth of mobile content consumption.

Johnson joins Ziff Davis from Sony Computer Entertainment America, where he was Senior Director, Strategic Business Development for PlayStation. He created the Media and Entertainment strategy and led the division, driving negotiations with leading content providers to distribute media through the fast-growing PlayStation Network.

In a six-year stint at Fox Sports, Johnson was the VP of Digital Media for Latin America responsible for the creation and management of technology, content and sales. He was heavily involved in bringing Latin sports content to a range of new online devices -- including smart TVs, mobile phones, games consoles and video sharing websites.
