Mitsui & Co. Principal Investments Ltd. entered into contract to acquire 20% stake in Yaskawa Information Systems Corp. from Yaskawa Electric Corp. for approximately ¥820 million.

Mitsui & Co. Principal Investments Ltd. entered into contract to acquire 20% stake in Yaskawa Information Systems Corp. (TSE:2354) from Yaskawa Electric Corp.

(TSE:6506) for approximately ¥820 million on July 16, 2014. Mitsui & Co. Principal Investments will acquire 3.6 million shares at the price of ¥228 per share.

Yaskawa Electric Corp will reduce its stake to 6.94 million shares in Yaskawa Information Systems. The Board of Directors of Yaskawa Information Systems Corp. made a resolution in favor of the transaction on July 16, 2014. The transaction is expected to close on August 29, 2014.
