We are delighted to welcome two new hires to the Video team in New York.

Brad Kimbrough has joined as a post-production operations specialist. In this role, he'll help ensure the department's technical workflows, resources, tools and technology for producing videos are efficient and up-to-date. Brad will work closely with video journalists, producers and editors to troubleshoot operational and technical issues, train them on post-production systems, and assist in the adoption of new tools.

He came to The Times from Courageous Studios, CNN's branded content studio, where he developed and led post-production workflow systems and file management. Prior to Courageous, he worked as an editor and assistant editor on a range of stories, experience that will serve him well in his new role. Our newsroom isn't unfamiliar to him: As a freelancer over a decade ago, Brad edited news videos for The Times. He also worked on independent feature documentaries, including as an assistant editor on "Long Strange Trip," about the Grateful Dead. Brad also participated in the Sundance Institute's Documentary Editing & Story Lab, and his work has screened in festivals, on television and at the Brooklyn Museum.
