The Ministry of Environment and Energy Security has authorized Terna's intervention to build two new underground cable power lines in Salerno for an investment of about 24 million euros.
The more than 5-kilometer work, which will connect the 'Salerno Porto' primary substation to the 'Salerno Nord' substation, a note explains, will aid the decarbonization process of the Campania city's port area.
As part of the 2021-2025 business plan update, Terna has planned more than €1 billion in investments in Campania for the development and resilience of the electricity grid.
