Stellantis Ventures, the venture capital fund of Stellantis, announces its participation as a strategic investor in Tiamat, a French-based start-up developing and marketing sodium-ion battery technology.

'Sodium-ion technology offers a lower cost per kilowatt-hour, and contains neither lithium nor cobalt. Sodium, which is abundantly available, offers advantages in terms of sustainability and control of raw materials', stresses the automaker.

This investment thus supports Stellantis' objective 'to offer safe, clean and affordable mobility solutions to its customers worldwide', the switch to electric propulsion being a key pillar of its Dare Forward 2030 Strategic Plan.
