Shian Yih Electronic Industry Co.,Ltd announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 399.702 million compared to TWD 419.476 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 5.497 million compared to TWD 9.974 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 24.347 million compared to TWD 6.440 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.4 compared to TWD 0.11 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.4 compared to TWD 0.1 a year ago.
Shian Yih Electronic Industry Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and distribution of light emitting diode (LED) backlight modules. The Company's production model is based on Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM). Its products are applied in liquid crystal displays (LCDs), notebook computers, LCD televisions, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile phones, among others. The Company distributes its products primarily in Taiwan and other Asian markets.
