Safran : Bruno Bergoend named Safran Senior Vice President, Airbus and ATR Programs

Effective January 1, 2019, Bruno Bergoend has been appointed Senior Vice President, Airbus and ATR Programs at Safran and Vice President, Public Affairs for the Occitanie region of France. He succeeds André Guiraud, who has retired, and reports to Stéphane Abrial, Senior Executive Vice President, International and Public Affairs.
Bruno Bergoend is now responsible for overseeing, coordinating and developing Safran's business with Airbus. He is assisted by Peter Detjen, previously at Zodiac Aerospace in Hamburg.
Bruno Bergoend began his career in 1979 with various sales and management roles at 3M France, then at Caso from 1982. He joined the Labinal Group (now Safran Electrical & Power) in 1996 as Sales Manager and was then appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing of the Aircraft Wiring Branch in 1998. He was named Director of the Engineering France and UK Business Units in 2001 and subsequently became Managing Director for Engineering and Technology at Labinal in 2007. After this unit merged with Teuchos in 2010 to create Safran Engineering Services, he was named Chief Executive Officer of the new entity,
He was CEO of Safran Ventilation Systems from 2012 until this latest appointment.
Bruno Bergoend, 60, is Chairman of the UIMM Occitanie (association of metallurgy industries).

- aircraft interiors (10.7%): cabin interiors and seats;
- other (0.1%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: France (19.4%), Europe (24%), the Americas (34.8%), Asia and Oceania (13.2%), Africa and the Middle East (8.6%).
