The National Association for Female Executives, NAFE, has named Valerie Mauriello, Vice President of Risk Management, as a 2015 Women of Excellence Award recipient in the Mentor category. “The impressive 2015 NAFE Women of Excellence awardees include individuals who are exceptional at their jobs and notable for ensuring the success of women and girls,” says Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE president. “These awards spotlight unsung heroes both for their achievements and for their commitment to gender equity.”

Valerie Mauriello was recognized for her role in creating the Women in Finance network for junior to mid-level executives at the company and encouraging senior women to mentor and sponsor other women. She also led in the creation of the group Networking Enhances Women’s Success, or NEWS, for senior executive women and has also sponsored women’s Executive Resource Groups that focus on leadership skills and networking.
