Proton Motor Power Systems plc announced that it has received a first follow-up order from H2tec AG from Switzerland, for a HyCabinet S16, with integrated master controller and voltage distribution. The Customer acts as a full-service provider for fuel cell emergency power systems to the Swiss Road Administration "The Federal Roads Office" ("FEDRO"), which operates 300 road tunnels in Switzerland. The receipt of the follow-up order comes after two years of real-world testing and validation of the first system ordered by the Customer, details of which were announced on 16 November 2020.

That system began operating in December 2022 by the Customer and FEDRO. The system subject to the new order includes an indoor plug and play HyCabinet S16 fuel cell system, with integrated master control unit and voltage distribution cabinet. The HyCabinet S16 will initially be equipped with only one HyModule® S8 for 8 kW nominal power output but can be upgraded with an additional, fully redundant HyModule S8 to provide 16 kW nominal power output.

The Company expects that delivery of the system will take place by first quarter of 2025.
