Precision System Science Co., Ltd. and Diagenode S.A. Collaborate to Develop Diagnostic Assays on New All-In-One Automation System Agreement

Precision System Science Co., Ltd. and Diagenode S.A. ("Diagenode") announced an agreement that Diagenode will develop and validate, for PSS on an OEM basis, a number of molecular diagnostic assays for infectious diseases. Eight diagnostic assays for respiratory and enteric disease will be validated on the new PSS all-in-one platform geneLEAD VIII, which is set to launch in Europe from January 2017. The geneLEAD VIII system is a cutting-edge platform that integrates automated nucleic acid technology with qPCR. Diagenode's high-quality assays will be optimized for platform to provide rapid and accurate test results to clinicians who make critical treatment decisions. Both companies will also collaborate on the distribution of the PSS platform in Europe. In first quarter of 2017, Diagenode will initially offer, as a PSS distributor, the new automated platform along with 4 new CE- marked assays for respiratory and enteric diseases in France and Benelux.
Precision System Science Co., Ltd. is engaged in the development, manufacture and sales of various devices for lab (laboratory) automation and clinical diagnosis. The equipment business provides various automated equipment for lab such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) automatic extractors and others, immunochemical luminescence measuring devices, specimen pretreatment devices for clinical diagnosis, and fully automated gene diagnostic equipment, among others. The reagents and consumables business provide various reagents used for DNA extraction and protein purification, as well as dedicated plastic consumables such as reaction vessel and others. The maintenance-related segment is engaged in equipment maintenance business, and the sales of spare parts (replacement parts). The contract manufacturing business is engaged in the contract manufacturing business.
