Precision System Science Co., Ltd. (TSE:7707) signed a contract to acquire remaining 49% stake in NPS Co., Ltd from Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd and Yuji Ishiyama for approximately ¥200 million on June 27, 2016. Precision System Science Co., Ltd will acquire 0.08 million shares at ¥2588 per share. Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd will sell 0.08 million shares amounting to 48.5% stake and Yuji Ishiyama will sell 800 shares amounting to 0.5% stake. After the transaction, Precision System Science Co., Ltd will hold 100% stake in NPS Co., Ltd. NPS Co., Ltd reported revenues of ¥1.3 billion, operating profit of ¥29 million, net income of ¥22 million, total assets of ¥819 million and net assets of ¥394 million during the year ending June 2015. The Board of Directors of Precision System Science Co., Ltd passed a resolution for the transaction on June 27, 2016. The transaction is expected to be completed on June 30, 2016.

Precision System Science Co., Ltd. is engaged in the development, manufacture and sales of various devices for lab (laboratory) automation and clinical diagnosis. The equipment business provides various automated equipment for lab such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) automatic extractors and others, immunochemical luminescence measuring devices, specimen pretreatment devices for clinical diagnosis, and fully automated gene diagnostic equipment, among others. The reagents and consumables business provide various reagents used for DNA extraction and protein purification, as well as dedicated plastic consumables such as reaction vessel and others. The maintenance-related segment is engaged in equipment maintenance business, and the sales of spare parts (replacement parts). The contract manufacturing business is engaged in the contract manufacturing business.
