The USD 10 million contract between FPT and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia is announced the biggest-ever foreign one.

General Director of FPT IS Duong Dung Trieu committed to using the best resources for this project.

On 21 January, the kick-off ceremony of the deployment project of financial management information system (FMIS) for National Treasury, Royal Government of Cambodia between the two sides took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia.

FPT IS will be a general contractor engaged in deploying the whole system for 31 units from central to local levels of Cambodia. This is also the first national project in this country.

FMIS, sponsored by the World Bank, aims to modernize the financial management system of the Royal Government of Cambodia. FMIS will be implemented in 26 months (since January 2014) and maintained by FPT IS in the next 2 years.

Thanks to its experience in implementing projects similar to FMIS, FPT IS overcame many international competitors from countries with developed technologies such as Canada, U.S., Singapore, Malaysia, and Europe to win this contract.

Accordingly, the project will assist Cambodia Government in enhancing financial management thanks to clear and accurate information, making Cambodia's budget management closer to standards in the world.

Currently, FPT IS determined that offering successful solutions abroad was an important direction in the globalization strategy, consistent with the general strategy of FPT. This is also the main direction of FPT IS till 2020. In particular, it is expected that revenue from foreign markets until 2018 will be USD 200 million with such important markets as the U.S, japan, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia etc.

With a representative office opened in Cambodia in 2010 and upgraded to Information System Cambodia Pte. Ltd a year later, FPT IS has built a solid reputation here, focusing on a number of fields such as telecommunications, banking and projects for governmental bodies.
