Item 8.01. Other Events

On January 28, 2021, Darling Ingredients Inc. issued a press release announcing that Diamond Green Diesel, its 50/50 joint venture with Valero Energy Corporation, had received final approval from its joint venture partners to proceed with the construction of a new renewable diesel production facility to be located at Valero's Port Arthur, Texas refinery. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
