Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC reported unaudited company and group earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2019. For the quarter, on company basis, the company reported revenue of LKR 791,597,000 compared to LKR 914,568,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was LKR 49,160,000 or LKR 0.59 per basic share compared to profit of LKR 95,145,000 or LKR 1.14 per basic share a year ago.
For the year, on company basis, the company reported revenue of LKR 3,055,842,000 compared to LKR 3,436,114,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was LKR 12,405,000 or LKR 0.15 per basic share compared to profit of LKR 368,589,000 or LKR 4.40 per basic share a year ago.
For the quarter, on group basis, the company reported revenue of LKR 1,179,307,000 compared to LKR 1,239,676,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was LKR 34,950,000 or LKR 0.42 per basic share compared to LKR 2,901,000 or LKR 0.03 per basic share a year ago.
For the year, on group basis, the company reported revenue of LKR 4,482,070,000 compared to LKR 4,795,054,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was LKR 38,923,000 or LKR 0.46 per basic share compared to profit of LKR 271,540,000 or LKR 3.24 per basic share a year ago.
