Bayer's crop protection division plans to launch ten 'blockbusters' over the next ten years, products representing potential annual sales of more than $500 million.

The German group estimated at its Agricultural Innovation Day 2024 that its research and development (R&D) portfolio could generate annual sales of up to €32 billion.

Among this category of successful products, Bayer says its Preceon system could transform global corn production by offering better protection against weather conditions.

According to Bayer, Preceon could thus generate more than 1.5 billion euros in annual sales and represent a total global area of almost 90 million hectares.
