On January 11, 2024, Apple Inc announced that it has received a shareholder proposal from National Center for Public Policy Research, requesting the Company to issue a public report detailing the potential risks associated with omitting viewpoint and ideology from its written equal employment opportunity (EEO) policy. The report should be available within a reasonable timeframe, prepared at a reasonable expense and omit proprietary information. In addition, the Company urged the shareholders to vote against the proposal at its annual general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held on February 28, 2024.
