Alstom Taubate

In November 2022, Alstom inaugurated the expansion of its rolling stock factory in Taubate (SP). The company invested BRL 100 million to expand and modernise the industrial site, tripling the built area, which now stands at 60,000 square metres. The investment is part of the company's growth strategy, after signing six national and international contracts. The production of two projects has already started and the forecast is that they will all be gradually completed by 2028. More than 170 trains (over 940 cars) will be produced by Alstom in Taubate for the cities of Sao Paulo (Brazil), Santiago (Chile), Taipei (Taiwan) and Bucharest (Romania), highlighting the facility's ability to contribute to mobility at a global level.
