Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announces the appointment of its North America Services Vice President, Josee Ouellet, as Grand Ambassador of the Universite de Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada.

This major recognition from an important Quebec institution, and the first nomination of a woman engineer to this title, is a testament to Ms. Ouellet's exceptional career and outstanding contribution to society.

Josee Ouellet has led Alstom's operations and maintenance activities in North America since 2021. After graduating from the Universite de Sherbrooke in mechanical engineering, Josee Ouellet has spent most of her career with Alstom, where she has held management positions in Malaysia, Australia, Europe, and Canada. She is a beloved and respected leader, both for her human qualities and the positive and inspiring influence she brings to women in the railway industry and in the Quebec community, including mentoring multiple individuals within and outside the industry.
