Jan 11 (Reuters) - Airbus's is closely monitoring the ongoing investigation into the Alaska Air incident, which saw 170 jets of rival Boeing grounded, the planemaker's CEO Guillaume Faury said on Thursday.

"The incidents ... is a rather fresh one and we are monitoring very closely everything that comes out of the ongoing investigation," Faury told journalists in a conference call.

"We will be taking each and every learning and we would expect Spirit (Aerosystems) to do exactly the same," he added referring to one of the group's suppliers.
