Airbus has achieved 661 deliveries by 2022 (compared with 480 for Boeing). The Group had dropped its target of around 700 aircraft.

' The Visible Alpha consensus forecast 683 deliveries, whereas we were expecting 675. Deliveries are relatively balanced geographically, with 23% going to European customers, 22% to the Americas, 21% to Asia-Pacific, and 28% to lessors', says Oddo.

Once again, it is the A220 and A320 families that account for almost all of the strong sales momentum. With 7,239 aircraft to be delivered by the end of December 2022, Airbus retains visibility equivalent to 9.2 years of deliveries based on the pace we anticipate for 2023' adds the research firm.

Oddo confirms its Outperform recommendation and its price target of 139 E.
