At Prudential, he served in a number of senior roles, including Senior Vice President in the Financial Restructuring Group, helping establish Prudential’s Asset Sales and Syndications group, and as Managing Director of Prudential Global Equities responsible for all Asia ex-Japan equity portfolios.
He graduated from St. Peter’s College with a bachelor’s degree in English.
He earned an MBA in Finance from New York University.

Douglas Descalzi is currently the Head of Research & Development at Bayer Medical Care, Inc. He previously worked as the Vice President & General Manager of IV Solutions at Omnicell, Inc. Mr. Descalzi completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, his MBA at the University of Virginia, and his graduate degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.

Mr. Spina’s began his career in public accounting with KPMG and moved on to assume increasingly seniorroles in financial management in manufacturing and distribution industries.
Over the past 12 years, he hasgained experience in a wide range of functions including budgeting, income and sales tax compliance, cashflow management and financial reporting for both private and publicly listed enterprises.
He has been involved in large-scale system implementations and process re-engineering and integration of acquired companies intoreporting and back-office systems.
Mr. Spina is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Claudio has served as Managing Director at Omega Funds since 2016 and is a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Claudio joined Omega Funds from NeoMed Management, which he joined in 2001 and where he became a Partner in 2004.
He has over 20 years’ experience of venture capital investing in healthcare in Europe and the US.
Prior to NeoMed, Claudio was a Venture Partner with Genevest Consulting Group SA in Geneva.
He has academic research experience in molecular biology from the Max Planck Institute in Germany, and the University of Connecticut, USA. Claudio has an MBA from Erasmus University, the Netherlands, and a Ph.D.
degree in Genetics from the University of Pavia, Italy.
