Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 137.717 million compared to TWD 152.158 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 41.013 million compared to TWD 35.332 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 14.782 million compared to TWD 35.768 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.08 compared to TWD 0.21 a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.1 compared to TWD 0.24 a year ago.
Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of touch panels and others. The Company operates its business through two segments: Optoelectronic segment and Mechanical and Electronic segment. The Optoelectronic segment provides projection capacitive touch panels and four-wire resistance touch panels. The Mechanical and Electronic segment provides 69- and 161-kilovolt (KV) connection boxes, 69- and 161-KV terminal boxes and 69- and 161-KV power cable protection equipment. Its touch panels are applied in manufacture of smart phones, mobile phones, personal navigation devices and other consumer electronics. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
