Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 237.874 million compared to TWD 195.691 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 8.483 million compared to operating loss of TWD 28.860 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 19.860 million compared to TWD 2.700 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.13 compared to TWD 0.03 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.13 compared to TWD 0.02 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 354.383 million compared to TWD 333.408 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 24.517 million compared to TWD 69.873 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 12.728 million compared to net loss of TWD 12.082 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.09 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.05 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.09 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.08 a year ago.
Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of touch panels and others. The Company operates its business through two segments: Optoelectronic segment and Mechanical and Electronic segment. The Optoelectronic segment provides projection capacitive touch panels and four-wire resistance touch panels. The Mechanical and Electronic segment provides 69- and 161-kilovolt (KV) connection boxes, 69- and 161-KV terminal boxes and 69- and 161-KV power cable protection equipment. Its touch panels are applied in manufacture of smart phones, mobile phones, personal navigation devices and other consumer electronics. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
