As part of MAG's efforts to strengthen destination and operational readiness, its subsidiaries Malaysia Airlines, AeroDarat Services, Firefly and MASwings have completed a certification audit which was conducted by Bureau Veritas. The label marks a timely occasion especially as the Group works with respective stakeholders and partners to facilitate a seamless and safe experience for leisure and business travelers in anticipation of the gradual reopening of borders.

This initiative also aligns with Travel Safe Alliance Malaysia (TSAM), which has been certified by Bureau Veritas. The alliance ensures that appropriate health, safety and hygiene procedures align with globally recognized best practices and recommendations related to preventive measures for safer air travel. As the airline representative of TSAM and national carrier, Malaysia Airlines has shown its commitment providing a seamless, safe and hygienic travel experience through its #FlyConfidently campaign together with its sister airlines Firefly and MASwings.

This includes measures taken onboard such as aircraft operations by fully vaccinated pilots and cabin crew, mandatory usage of face masks, frequent aircraft disinfections following guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of Health Malaysia and World Health Organization, and utilization of aircraft HEPA filters that are proven to filter out 99.97 per cent of viruses on board.

With the Safeguard label developed by Bureau Veritas, travelers from around the world can be reassured that Malaysia's tourism industry has taken hygiene and safety as the highest priority in their tourism operations.
