It is very gratifying that together through the development phase we have arrived at functions, solutions and qualities that enable Skien municipality to enter into a final contract with us and thus start construction. Lyngbakken living and treatment center will have doubled the number of resident rooms after the expansion from 64 to 128. The new building will have a total of approximately 6,500 m 2 and will be built on two floors with a basement under parts of the building. The development takes place up to the existing housing and treatment centre, which will be in full operation during the construction period.
This will be a sustainable project where the support system in low-carbon concrete class extreme and in class A, energy-efficient technical facilities and energy source from a local wood-burning plant together provide at least a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to the reference building. The building is delivered in energy class A and the construction work is carried out fossil-free.
