Uma Exports Limited Announces Setting-Up of a New Pulses Processing Unit at Surat in the State of Gujarat

Uma Exports Limited announced that the Company is going to set up a new pulses processing unit at Green Industries Park Wada Gau (Village) Opposite Diamond Iconic, Sachin Navsari Road, Surat, Gujarat, for processing of all varieties of pulses. The unit is proposed to be set up either in the Company or wholly-owned subsidiary company considering the legal formalities and economic advantages. The proposed unit shall have an installed capacity of 50,000 TPA.

The proposed project cost as approved is INR 220 million. The land for the proposed site has been identified and initial advance has been made. The unit is proposed to.

be operationalised by March, 2025. The proposed unit shall mark the entry of the Company in the business of manufacturing /processing of food grains in addition to its present trading operation.

Uma Exports Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in trading and marketing of agricultural produce and commodities. The Company is a business-to-business trader specialized in sugar, corn and dal. Its products include sugar; spices, such as dry red chilies, turmeric, coriander and cumin seeds; food grains, such as rice, wheat, corn, sorghum and tea; pulses, and agricultural feed like soyabean meal and rice bran de-oiled cake. Its rice products include parboiled rice -- 5% or 20% or 25% broken, Ir64 raw or parboiled rice, Swarna Masuri rice, and basmati rice and non-basmati rice. Its pulse products include red whole lentils/red split lentils, green peas/yellow peas/dun peas and Tyson chickpeas. It imports lentils, faba beans, black Matpe, and Toor (Pigeon Peas) in India in bulk quantities. The Company maintains stocks and distributes them to different institutional parties like manufacturers, exporters and others. The Company is also engaged in edible oil manufacturing.
