Tricom India Ltd. reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013. For the quarter, on standalone basis, the company reported net sales/income from operations of INR 73.922 million against INR 155.058 million for the same period in the last year. Loss from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items was INR 24.145 million against profit from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items of INR 10.198 million for the same period in the last year. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 24.309 million against profit form ordinary activities before tax of INR 6.583 million for the same period in the last year. Net loss was INR 31.682 million against net profit of INR 4.447 million for the same period in the last year. Loss per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary item was INR 0.40 against earnings per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary item of INR 0.06 for the same period in the last year.

For the quarter, on consolidated basis, net sales/income from operations of INR 134.793 million against INR 226.907 million for the same period in the last year. Loss from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items was INR 53.669 million against profit from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items of INR 23.002 million for the same period in the last year. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 22.289 million against profit form ordinary activities before tax of INR 34.796 million for the same period in the last year. Net loss was INR 29.702 million against net profit of INR 29.004 million for the same period in the last year. Loss per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary item was INR 0.37 against earnings per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary item of INR 0.39 for the same period in the last year.
