Toyo Suisan Kaisha, Ltd. reported consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2021. For the year, on consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of ¥417,511 million against ¥416,031 million a year ago. Operating profit was ¥36,460 million against ¥28,348 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥29,070 million or ¥284.64 per basic share against ¥23,379 million or ¥228.92 per basic share a year ago.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of ¥268,730 million against ¥264,895 million a year ago. Operating profit was ¥17,023 million against ¥12,957 million a year ago. Profit was ¥17,767 million or ¥173.89 per basic share against ¥14,675 million or ¥143.63 per basic share a year ago.
Toyo Suisan Kaisha Ltd is a Japan-based food manufacturing company. The Company operates through six business segments. The Seafood segment is engaged in the purchase, processing and sale of seafoods in domestic and overseas markets. The Overseas Instant Noodles segment provides cup and bag noodles mainly in the United States and Mexico. The Domestic Instant Noodles segment provides cup and bag noodles in Japan. The Low Temperature Food segment manufactures and sells steamed and roasted buckwheat noodles, raw ramen, boiled noodles, frozen noodles and commercial cocking products. The Processed Food segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of processed foods such as aseptic packaged rice, retort rice, soup, dashi-no-moto, bonito flakes, and paste products in Japan. The Frozen and Cold Storage segment is engaged in the provision of storage and freezing services. The Company also involves in the bag lunch, prepared food businesses.
