Toray Industries Inc. announced that its chairman Sadayuki Sakakibara will resign from the board of the company on June 24 to become supreme adviser. Sakakibara will focus on activities in the business community as chairman of the Japan Business Federation, or Keidanren. Ryoji Noyori, former president of Riken, will become a Toray outside board member on June 24.
