The Yonkyu Co.,Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 17,102 million against JPY 19,205 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 1,050 million against JPY 1,125 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 648 million or JPY 53.21 per basic share against JPY 800 million or JPY 69.22 per basic share a year ago.
Yonkyu Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the seafood wholesale business, general cargo transportation business, tuna farming business, eel farming business and fresh fish retail business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Fresh Fish Sale segment purchases thailand, hamachi, amberjack, small fish (including natural fish), fry, artificially hatched fry, processed goods, tuna, and eel. The Feedstuff Sale segment provides raw bait, feed mixture and moist pellets to fish farmers. The others business is engaged in the general cargo transportation business.
