The Yonkyu Co.,Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 2021. For the quarter, the company's net sales were JPY 8,347 million compared to JPY 8,257 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 835 million compared to JPY 155 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 661 million compared to JPY 164 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 54.25 compared to JPY 13.53 a year ago.
THE YONKYU CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the seafood wholesale business, general cargo transportation business, tuna farming business, eel farming business and fresh fish retail business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Fresh Fish Sale segment purchases thailand, hamachi, amberjack, small fish (including natural fish), fry, artificially hatched fry, processed goods, tuna, and eel. The Feedstuff Sale segment provides raw bait, feed mixture and moist pellets to fish farmers. The others business is engaged in the general cargo transportation business.
